Life inside of a school bus!

Flag Stop

Each and every school bus stop is selected and approved
based on the safety of the children, visibility of other motorists,
etc. "Courtesy stops" by the driver are strictly forbidden and
considered a serious safety violation.


On my morning route, I first stop at the top of a subdivision and then
continue down the hill to the back of the sub.  One day, as I am
returning up the hill and rounding a curve, in the headlights of the bus I
see a woman wearing a pink bathrobe and fuzzy slippers standing in the
middle of the road, waving her arms in the air.
To avoid hitting her, I stop the bus and wait for her to move aside.  I
then watch as she motions to her son to cross the road and get on the
bus.  He obviously had missed the bus so she decided to
create a new flag stop.
When I returned the bus to the garage, I handed an incident report to
the dispatcher and said, "You call her!
